Responsibilities

The Training Department is seeking a Training Assistant who can help with essential administrative functions for the training department while conducting training in-person and virtually for the employees of the San Diego CalWORKS project.  This includes training related administrative tasks including but not limited to: Scheduling calendar events and dates, facilities room scheduling, training roster upkeep, and reporting and tracking of new hires.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Organize and coordinate the Training Calendar and Roster
  • Take attendance during training sessions
  • Monitoring the chat during Virtual lessons and doing other administrative functions in MS Teams such as breakout rooms, polls and other features
  • Logging all questions asked during training and working with facilitator, Supervisors, Leads or Training Manager to find answers
  • Keep One Note/County Notes updated
  • Keep Training Library materials updated and current
  • Taking comprehensive notes at CARMS meetings
  • Complete and update current Training department reports
  • Document scores received from learners in Training Tracker
  • Clerical duties to include printing all materials/tools needed for trainings
  • Keeping supplies stocked for training
  • Preparing set up and scheduling of training rooms for Training Class and Transitional Unit
  • Follow up with IT Team for computer related issues during training as well as Systems assess with Learners
  • Assign practice cases to New Learners
  • Assist with other administrative duties related to training, responding to IT emails, helping assist with providing make up materials for learners and other duties assigned by Training Manager

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Professional communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity with commonly used training/learning and development concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving

Required Experience:

  • Associates degree or higher preferred
  • 1-2 years experience preferred

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role:$19.00 - $22.00 HR . In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role.
