Responsibilities

 

  • Manages projects, staff and tasks with limited supervision while meeting and exceeding performance expectations.
  • Facilitates client discussions.
  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to team members.
  • Manages daily project functions and client interaction.
  • Leads proposal writing teams, including writing sections, coordinating efforts, and preparing proposal submissions.
  • Prepares other written reports and materials for clients.
  • Reviews business operations and identifies areas for service and efficiency improvements.
  • Evaluates programs and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Analyzes and interprets federal and state law and regulation.
  • Assesses best practices and provide technical assistance to clients.
  • Identifies potential opportunities for add-on and new business sales

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s degree preferred
Experience: 4-5+ years of relevant work experience
Certification: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

 

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work both in a team situation and autonomously in a fast-paced environment with changing demands.
  • Ability to learn and understand programs which are administered by states and monitored by federal regulators.
  • Ability to work within identified timeline based on project needs.
  • Strong Microsoft Office applications skills, especially Excel.
  • Ability to use sound judgment in completing tasks independently and to seek guidance when needed.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets with accurate results.
  • Commitment to exceptional client service.
  • Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset.
  • Dedication to accomplishing goals and challenges presented by clients and management.
  • Ability to professionally interact with various levels of management and with clients.
  • Flexible, self-starter possessing intellectual curiosity.
  • Enthusiasm for life-long learning and staying well-informed about current business issues.
  • Excellent business writing skills and ability to make presentations to various audiences.

Working Conditions:

Office Setting or remote/work from home with potential for 40%-50% travel depending on internal and client needs.

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $75,000-$85,000. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role.
