Our distinguished network of locally-based, highly motivated and caring educators and professionals are committed to providing schools with evidence-based, effective instructional programs as well as providing the resources necessary for staff development, intervention initiatives, program implementation, supplemental instruction, extended day and summer camp programs

 

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Create and maintain ad-hoc reporting and analysis as assigned.
  2. Monitors bank transactions to approve positive pay and ACH debit transactions.
  3. Reconciles bank accounts, reconcile credit card usage, research transactions as needed.
  4. Performs and reviews general ledger entries and reconciles GL accounts, as part of the monthly close process as well as the annual financial audit.
  5. Ensures revenue recognition is consistent with PCG practice and policies.
  6. Performs financial calculations for the company in a variety of areas and with diverse responsibilities, including assisting with the monthly close process as well as the annual financial audit.
  7. Responsible for accuracy, timelines and the general integrity of the accounting function and related reports.
  8. Prepares weekly and monthly reports to management.
  9. Provides general ledger and reporting assistance to non-accounting staff.
  10. Reconciles more complex accounts and checks the accuracy of journal entries to ensure that the general ledger is accurate and complete.
  11. Complete other duties as required and assigned.   

     



    Knowledge and Skills:

    1. Working knowledge of financial software tools to quantify and illustrate routine financial reports, statements, and/or projections.  Specific knowledge of Workday and/or Paycom, a plus.
    2. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
    3. Working knowledge and use of Microsoft, specifically Word, Outlook and Teams.
    4. Advance knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel.
    5. Strong understanding of GAAP
    6. Ability to ensure work is accurate, completed, and self-reviewed in a timely manner for Manager review.
    1. Possess trustworthiness & integrity, as well as great attention to detail, while working with confidential information.
    1. Ability to provide ad-hoc data analysis from within and outside of department in a timely and accurate manner.
    2. Skilled in collecting and analyzing data, evaluating information and systems, drawing logical conclusions, and providing consistent quality outputs.
    3. Critical thinker with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections.
    4. Adaptable to learn new processes, concepts, and skills.
    5. Ability to establish relationships with co-workers and work effectively in a professional team environment, and communicate with all levels of management, both verbally and in writing.
    6. Effective ability to prioritize and manage multiple activity streams with frequent interruptions.
    7. Ability to diagnose, research, and resolve technical issues independently or as a cooperative member of a team.
      

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred or Finance Experience

Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience, specifically in general ledger

Working knowledge of a plus:  Workday, Paycom

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.

As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $63,000 - 68,000.
