Responsibilities

 

*Public Consulting Group seeks a Privacy Specialist with proven work experience in Governance, Risk, Compliance and/or Information Security *

 

Hybrid Location: Greater Boston, Massachusetts 

 

  • Acts as a key liaison between technical and non-technical business units to ensure processes and supporting systems continue to meet business stakeholder needs.
  • Supports critical functions, such as incident management, data inventory management and data mapping.
  • Maintains awareness of privacy industry trends and regulatory requirements and evaluates controls to ensure compliance.
  • Works with leadership to analyze data and make business decisions based on the evidence.
  • Designs processes and/or suggest improvements for business solutions that require enhancement.
  • Provides information clearly and concisely in various formats depending on audience.
  • Communicates and interacts directly with the workforce and provide quality service, as required.
  • Manages multiple parallel business functions and keep leadership informed of status and risks.
  • Works across Corporate departments to ensure alignment of processes and solutions and their impact on various business units.
  • Coordinates with Information Security, GRC, and IT resources to ensure alignment of priorities.
  • Maintains and manages operational relationships with external GRC/Privacy vendors and partners.
  • Leads investigations of privacy events and collaborates with internal and external teams as needed.
  • Prepares reports that document privacy breaches and the extent of the damage caused by the breaches.
  • Interfaces with various internal teams and business for remediation efforts and/or project and operational activities.

Qualifications

 

Work Experience:

  • Governance, Risk, Compliance, or Information Security
  • 3+ years of work experience in Business, Technology, or Audit/Compliance fields
  • Process improvement experience, especially experience that leverages technology as part of the solution 

 

Certification:

  • Information Security or Technology certifications are a plus.

 

Education:

  • B.S. or B.A. Degree, with related business discipline experience
  • M.B.A. or other advanced degree in business or social science is a plus

 

Required Skills: 

 

  • Can multi-task, communicate clearly, provide leadership and guidance to others, and claim ownership over his/her specific responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Data gathering, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs.
  • Ability to lead and provide guidance in various hierarchical situations.
  • Knowledge and experience in process improvement.
  • Self-motivated and quick learner.
  • Pays close attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of and experience with the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
  • Ability to work within high-performing virtual teams and highly collaborative.
  • Builds excellent relationships with key internal resources based on trust and confidence.
  • Interested in both short-term results and long-term goals.
  • Ability to work with resources in multiple locations and business units.
  • Ability to get results while maintaining a service orientation.

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $80,000 - $119,999. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role.
