Responsibilities

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with participants experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity to secure permanent housing including: referring participants to open listings, liaising with property managers, assisting with rental applications, and preparing participants to meet with landlords
  • Encourage housing participants and develop strong relationships to effectively understand and address specific housing needs and barriers, and take steps towards self-sufficiency
  • Work closely with Family Services case managers to develop and follow a case plan for self-sufficiency and permanent housing
  • Assist participants in understanding the current housing market and identify realistic and relevant housing solutions
  • Provide support to landlords and property management companies in addressing tenant issues
  • Develop relationships with and become knowledgeable about local community resources including transitional housing, shelters, and permanent housing
  • Reach out to relevant agencies, such as collections, to assist client in removing barriers
  • Follow-up with participants after moving into new units 
  • Submit case comments for all participant interactions and complete payment requests in accordance with guidelines
  • Follow a Rapid Re-housing/ Housing First approach

San Diego County Residence is Required

 

This position requires full-time (Mon-Fri) in-office work. After 6 months of employment, employees may have the opportunity to work on a hybrid schedule, which will be evaluated case-by-case, based on the employee’s skills, knowledge progression at that time, and the needs of the business. If approval is provided for hybrid work, employees may be asked at any time to return full-time to the office based on business needs.

  • Strong time management
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills including Excel and database entry
  • An Associates or Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
  • Experience in sales/client accounts as well as case management and/or customer service
  • Knowledge of real estate, community housing programs and relevant social service programs highly desired
  • Bilingual Spanish and/or Arabic preferred

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $21.50 - $25.50 HR. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role.
