Overall Responsibilities: 

Join a team that helps set the strategic technology direction of our state human services agency clients in the fields of child welfare, early childhood, disability programs, workforce programs, and others. Responsible for assisting with defining and prioritizing the business needs of technology solutions including the review and tracking of gaps between business processes, functional and technical requirements, federal compliance for overall system functionality, user experience, and technical supportability. Participates and assists with Organizational Change Management and Data Governance/Management activities. Provides insight into the project and contractor methods of doing business by reviewing process and product activities for adherence to standards and plans.


Specific Responsibilities: 

As a remote team member, participates in designing the functionality of technology solutions to help the organization operate more efficiently and effectively.

    • Facilitates software development life cycle (SDLC) activities
      • Coordinates and helps facilitate functional and technical requirement gathering sessions
      • Creates and validates business process maps
      • Assists in the creation of project deliverables
      • Contributes to work plans and other deliverables
      • Partners with client and/or other vendors to develop User Acceptance Testing
    • Communicates business challenges to stakeholders and assists in developing solutions
    • Identifies opportunities for streamlining procedures by applying IT best practices

  • Familiarity with child welfare or other human service programs (child care, home and community based services, TANF/SNAP, etc.) a plus
  • Understanding of IIBA BABoK principles and CBAP certification a plus

Required Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Experience: 3+ years’ experience working with SDLC activities
  • MS Excel and Word proficiency required; MS Visio, Project, and Teams a plus


Location: Work remotely within the Continental United States, with occasional travel (20%) potentially required

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $75,000 - $95,000 . In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role.
