Overview

Senior Healthcare Program Specialist – Long-Term Care in Albany, NY

 

Summary:

The Partnership Plan requires knowledge of both Medicaid and Long-Term Care insurance with a liaison role with both NYSDOH and the NYS Department of Financial Services (DFS.) Ability to work independently and manage projects with competing deadlines and priorities. The incumbent will maintain a working relationship with the other states offering Partnership plans. Program staff are available to provide consumer assistance and technical support to approximately 70,000 policy holders. This person will work with colleagues to ensure training materials are accurate and available to users. Maintain required reports and analyze trends related to consumers and policies.

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • 9 years’ experience in the healthcare field. 
  • An associate degree in a related field would count for 2 years of experience, a Bachelor’s would count for 4 years of experience, and a Master’s would count for 5 years.

 

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Contract management, eMedNY utilization, ability to field complaints and address constituent issues. Understanding of long-term care policies and benefits as related to Medicaid eligibility, asset protection and insurance.
  • 5 years of community healthcare/community service experience.   Ability to analyze consumer specific data to address questions and remedy complaints. Responsible for editing program materials and navigate various websites. Strong computer skills related to training programs and materials and maintain internal data bases.

 

*Employees must follow established work schedules. The usual work schedule is 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. unless otherwise specified by the supervisor, this includes a half hour unpaid lunch break. Total work hours must equal 37.5 hours per week.

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $49,400-$70,000. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
