Overview

Healthcare Program Associate - Long-Term Care in Albany, NY 


This individual will serve as a program team member providing administrative and technical support to Medicaid programs.
   

 

 

 

Responsibilities

Duties include:

 

  • Oversight of contractor monthly and annual report
  • Tracking due dates of statistical and programmatic information
    Preparing correspondence
    Receiving phone inquiries and directing calls to appropriate resources; responding to constituent complaints and issues; providing administrative support to professional staff
  • Taking meeting minutes and compiling summaries as needed
  • Tracking Bureau assignment due dates and associated folder/paperwork to ensure timely submission of special projects, sensitive assignments, Internal Controls, Expenditure Reports, contract information, ECUs, FOIL requests.
  • Preparing correspondence
  • Receiving phone inquiries and directing calls to appropriate resources; responding to constituent complaints and issues; providing administrative support to professional staff
  • Taking meeting minutes and compiling summaries as needed
  • Tracking Bureau assignment due dates and associated folder/paperwork to ensure timely submission of special projects, sensitive assignments, Internal Controls, Expenditure Reports, contract information, ECUs, FOIL requests. 
  • Routinely complete and provide reports. Maintain and update email distribution and contact lists.
  • Schedule meetings and facilitate webinar/zoom meetings
  • Support and track housing requests and approvals.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Associate degree
  • 6 months of healthcare experience

 

 

Other Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred candidates should have a working knowledge of issues related to the provision of long-term care services to individuals in a community-based setting, possess excellent written and oral communication, and strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, and Power Point) WebEx/Zoom and other web-based meeting programs

 

*Employees must follow established work schedules. The usual work schedule is 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise specified by the supervisor, this includes a half hour unpaid lunch break. Total work hours must equal 37.5 hours per week.
