Quality Assurance Officer - Maine CDC in Augusta, ME

The primary purpose of this position will be to join and assist the Health & Environmental Testing Laboratory (HETL) Quality Assurance Team with maintaining global quality systems, and appropriate and sufficient associated records. The position will assist with ensuring the lab is meeting all required accreditation standards for various accrediting and credentialing boards. The position will participate in both external and internal audits, and other duties as assigned.
Duties:
This job is scheduled for 40 hours per week. Normal working hours are between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday-Friday. All work must be performed onsite at the Augusta, ME location, with remote work being authorized at the discretion of the CDC HETL Chief of Laboratory Operations |
Basic Qualifications:
Four-year combination of education, training, and/or experience in Quality Assurance, Chemistry or a directly related field.
Familiarity with accreditation standards such as ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
