Responsibilities

PCG’s Education Consulting service line works with states, districts, and school clients to provide a wide spectrum of services, such as curriculum development, instructional resources audits, design and facilitation of professional development and professional learning communities, school improvement, and program reviews. Past project engagements, for example, have included the development of the EngageNY grades 6–12 English Language Arts Common-Core aligned curriculum for the New York State Education Department, design and delivery of a system of professional learning for the Connecticut State Department of Education, and the creation of curriculum aligned to the Florida B.E.S.T standards. We are currently partnering with Chicago Public Schools to support implementation of a full-year, standards-aligned and culturally-responsive curriculum for PK–12 ELA and mathematics that our team developed.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide client and project support:
    • Prepare contracts and ensure project legal documents are completed and signed, in coordination with PCG’s legal team and the education consulting management team.
    • Communicate with stakeholders as needed throughout the contracting process to secure contracts in a timely manner.
    • Develop and maintain systems for tracking contract-related information including subcontractor/independent contractor information, contract numbering schema, and status of contracts.
    • Participate in and organize planning meetings, status meetings, and other meetings as needed.
    • Contribute to on-site or virtual training and professional development activities for clients.
    • Provide technical support by phone, email, and MS Teams as needed.
    • Create and edit Word, Excel, PowerPoint and/or Google files using built-in features and functions of those tools in alignment with PCG or project style guides.
    • Establish and maintain project collaboration sites (e.g., using SharePoint or Google).
  • Contribute to the organization:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products and services.
  • Keep the team apprised of changes within the organization and general corporate news.
  • Be an early adopter of new technical solutions offered by PCG. Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions to streamline our work.
  • Capture and share knowledge accrued and lessons learned throughout project work and operations work.
  • Maintain relations with vendors including publishing partners and facilitate transactions as needed.
  • Develop and enforce organizational rules for education consulting team’s use of MS Teams, maintaining orderly documentation of projects and proposals in MS Teams.
  • Participate in special assignments as needed, for example, marketing efforts and team event planning.
  • Contribute to proposal development:
    • Assist proposal teams, including writing sections, coordinating efforts, and preparing proposal submissions. Create MS Teams channels to keep proposal information organized.
    • Manage the proposal development process, including the development of schedules, staff assignments, documentation requirements, signatures, production, and timely delivery.
    • Perform administrative tasks in PCG’s project management system (PPM).

Regularly scan the environment for new RFPs and other opportunities.

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience in education, information technology, or business operations desirable
