Responsibilities

 

  • PCG is seeking candidates for a Senior Project Specialist position who will work as an integral part of a dynamic team along with peers and senior staff
  • The Senior Project Specialist will be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day activities of the Health Care Financing Solutions team
  • This individual will support the public safety consulting business line, and other Medicaid and Medicare related projects
  • The Senior Project Specialist will use knowledge of fire/emergency medical services (EMS) standards, practical and clinical experience, and current best practices in the fire/EMS field to lead and facilitate public safety consulting projects
  • This position will work closely with a variety of stakeholders such as other fire/EMS experts, project teams, data analysts, consulting staff, and clients
  • The Senior Project Specialist will participate in diverse tasks including launching and implementing new client-facing projects; conducting research and data analysis; writing reports of findings and recommendations; supporting business development efforts; creating and delivering trainings; and providing input to improve business processes, tools, and systems


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Serves as lead subject matter expert for fire/EMS consulting projects
  • Conducts research and carries out quantitative and qualitative analysis and develops written reports of findings for fire/EMS consulting studies
  • Presents findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders
  • Uses knowledge of current fire and EMS industry best practices, standards, and regulations to inform development of findings and recommendations
  • Manages project tasks, deliverables, and timelines. Communicates any issues to project managers and recommends solutions
  • Prepares a wide range of written materials for client management, business development, and marketing including development of presentations, responses to request for proposals, blog posts, and sales initiatives
  • Maintains positive client relationships
  • Contributes to business development efforts through relationship management, participation in industry associations, attendance and conference presentations, and identifying new market opportunities to expand services within the public safety industry
  • Provides administrative and technical support

 

Qualifications

 

Education/Experience:  

 

  • Two years of Fire/EMS consulting experience
  • Five years management experience with Fire/EMS organizations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Fire/EMS operations including industry standards and best practices
  • Experience developing and editing reports, documents, and training materials
  • Able to work with a diverse range of people
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, research, oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze and organize data, identify findings, and define recommendations
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously and work with diverse stakeholders in a dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated, problem solver, quick learner, and creative thinker
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams
  • Demonstrate a commitment to deliver exceptional client service for internal and external clients
  • Ability to learn complex web-based technology applications
  • Demonstrated expertise and high level of fluency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

 

Preferred Experience 

 

  • Experience with development of innovative fire/EMS delivery programs
  • Knowledge of mobile integrated healthcare, health equity, social determinants of health, and/or rural healthcare
  • Experience with or knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, Healthcare, and/or customer support is beneficial
  • Core interest in health care, government, or public policy
