PCG is seeking an experienced candidate for the Technical Project Manager position. For the right motivated individual, there is an excellent opportunity for career development and advancement. 

  • The Technical Project Manager works in a deadline-oriented, fast paced environment as part of a professional, client focused team consisting of consulting and operations staff in the Education Services practice area.
  • The teams' goal is to provide superior service to education sector clients, Implementing and managing technology solutions for student success management, data management, and other technology and traditional consulting services. This candidate is tech savvy, ambitious, and has a keen eye for detail.
  • Liaison between client needs and software development team, including creating system Business Requirements Documents (BRD), system testing and release, data integration, troubleshooting/bug resolution, and tracking metrics for client reporting.
  • The Technical Project Manager position requires a self-starter who can quickly learn our web-based technologies and lead clients through the system configuration and set up processes. This means you must be comfortable with ambiguity and driving decision making within critical time frames and across multiple stakeholders.
  • The Technical Project Manager will provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for clients, often times needing to coordinate data integration across vendors.
  • This position revolves around technology, software development lifecycle (SDLC), data and reporting.



 Required Skills: 

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze and organize data.
  • Establishing and managing data integration and management
  • Experience managing all phases of the development life cycle including but not limited to gathering business requirements, writing specifications, managing development tasks, and testing.
  • High comfort level with web applications – navigating, discussing, envisioning
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets with accurate results, using Excel or comparable tools.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Research and project management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products including PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Word.
  • Database skills - SQL knowledge preferred, and PMO certificate preferred.
  • Act as liaison between client and technical teams
  • Be able to plan, prepare for, and effectively facilitate internal/external meetings
  • Able to function independently in a multi-tasked environment
  • Work independently while also integrating well within a team environment. 

 Required Experience: 

  • A Bachelor's Degree and 5-7+ years’ experience
  • Software project management experience preferred.
  • Experience with Business Requirement Documents (BRD) strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, strongly preferred.
  • Experience with data mapping and data conversion preferred
  • School (K-12) experience is a plus
