Case Investigator Supervisor


The Case Investigator Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of case investigators as they reach out to Pennsylvania residents who have tested positive for COVID-19. The Supervisor will serve as the guide and oversee case investigators as they generate lists of close contacts and provide isolation instructions. The Supervisor will be responsible for delegating work, ensuring all information gathered during case investigation is transmitted to the necessary partners and supporting case interviewers where necessary


This position is full-time (5 days/week). Supervisors will be assigned a set schedule for 35 hours/week to ensure coverage between 8am-8pm daily. The position is temporary and may end at any time depending on the demand.


Current Pennsylvania Resident is required


Case Investigator Supervisor shall complete all aspects of the case investigation interview, including gathering information from individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 and, where necessary, escalating issues to appropriate resources in accordance with Department-approved procedures for follow-up.

  1. Case Investigator Supervisor shall collect and enter case information into the appropriate systems with completeness and accuracy at the time of the interview. Case Investigators shall not create separate files or databases outside of the appropriate IT systems as approved by the Department.
  2. Case Investigator Supervisor shall maintain daily contact with the Department regarding completed outreaches and any escalations noted.
  3. Case Investigator Supervisor shall work collaboratively with Contact Tracers and Social Support Coordinators through an integrated workflow across multiple systems.
  4. Case Investigator Supervisor shall complete a PA-NEDSS authorization form that requires approvals of the Department’s Bureau of Community Health Systems and the Bureau of Epidemiology

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a quiet, distraction-free work environment without any conflicting responsibilities during your scheduled work shift. This position could move to on-site call centers at a later date.
  • Must have access to good/reliable and secure WiFi. Internet connection must be capable of speeds of 2Mbps upload and 4Mbps download


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Health-related professional experience is a plus.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus
