Overview

The Social Support Supervisor will help address the support needs of those who are contacts, especially those who are under isolation or quarantine. This will include working with LHDs, community-based organizations, and support agencies to address housing, food, mental health, testing, medical, and other needs.

 

The position is temporary, full-time, and may end at any time depending on the demand.

Responsibilities

 

Social Support Supervisor shall work collaboratively with Case Investigators from the Department and the Contractor and Contact Tracers to support the needs identified in communications with close contacts.

 

  • Carry out supervision, quality assurance, and performance management of a team of up contact tracers.
  • Act as an information source, answer contact tracer questions and give instructions and guidance as needed.
  • Review cases and contact investigations for completeness and quality assurance. Provide feedback 
  • Manage and direct the daily activities of contact tracers including assigning daily cases and ensuring that work is evenly distributed.
  • Attend, follow-up and resolve any issues or concerns arising during case investigation / contact tracing. 
  • Conduct performance measurement, monitoring, and evaluation of all Social Support Coordinators to improve the efficiency.
  • Onboard new contact tracers and carry out coaching and supplementary training to ensure that Social Support Coordinators acquire the appropriate support to apply the best skills and knowledge on the job.
  • Hold regular check-ins with contact tracing team to identify common themes in issues they are experiencing as they conduct outreach and work to efficiently resolve issues and monitor performance

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidates preferred to have experience working with community resources and social services 
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English; fluency in languages other than English is advantageous
  • Ability to exhibit a professional, positive attitude and work ethic
  • Ability to show empathy and be nonjudgmental towards distressed individuals Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with people from
  • diverse cultural, racial, ethnic, gender, and socioeconomic backgrounds during a time of crisis and distress
  • Have a demonstrated commitment to supporting communities who have experienced systemic oppression and bias (e.g. people of color, LGBTQ+ people, immigrants, justice involved persons, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills Critical thinking and sound judgment required
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Proficiency in basic computing and ability to access and navigate various databases and software programs following training
  • Must have access to good/reliable WiFi or internet

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in social work, mental health counseling
