The Health Care Financing Solutions team is looking for a Consultant interested in Project Management and claims operations to join the team!  The Health Care Financing Solutions unit provides reimbursement and claim solution services to state and local governments. 


Overall Responsibilities:


This position occupies a critical role in PCG and are key in achieving business objectives of one specific multi-year project. Working with the TPA Operations Director for Public Programs and numerous units within the operation, the ideal candidate will be able to work with operational staff to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory responsibilities. The candidate will be responsible for organizing and tracking dozens of initiatives, special projects, and operational improvements, serving not only a tracking role, but understanding the questions and issues being discussed. The candidate will be a central organizing figure for the PCG team and will interface heavily with our client.


Specific job responsibilities include:

  • Serves as project management lead and primary client point of contact for large-scale engagement. Proactively govern the full lifecycle of project initiatives, providing an overall project plan in compliance with project methodology to ensure internal and external client satisfaction
  • Coordinates with more than a dozen PCG staff and tasks with limited supervision while meeting and exceeding performance expectations.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and collaborate with internal and geographically dispersed cross-functional teams, vendors and clients to develop strategies to successfully execute deliverables and monitor checkpoint progress
  • Proactively maintain project mitigation activities including at-risk milestone with appropriate team members and senior management. Recognize issues and identify solutions.
  • Lead stakeholder meetings communicating the status of the project, milestones, and coordinated key activities across the initiative life cycle, ensuring a solid and properly executed solution. Maintain documented history of meeting minutes. Distribute next steps to all participants after meetings.
  • Evaluate and provide assessments of the existing operational environment and collaborate with team members on identifying performance gaps and process improvements in the hosted environments
  • Assists in the review and management of issues in the JIRA ticketing system
  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to team members.
  • Evaluates programs and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Assesses best practices and provide technical assistance to internal and external clients.
  • Prepares other written reports and materials for clients
  • Responsible for monitoring and updating policies and procedures to include regulatory changes.
  • Identifies deficiencies by conducting regular analysis of operations, at the direction of the TPA Operations Director for Public Programs
  • Works with team to ensure that it meets key metrics including efficiency, effectiveness and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Assists in the creation and quality control (QC) of internal key performance metrics and SLAs.
  • Reviews performance of the clinical team to meet, or exceed, the department standards for Productivity and Quality while continuously looking for process and quality improvement opportunities.
  • Additional duties include:  Assisting leadership with invoicing and budget management

  • Strong Microsoft Office applications skills, especially data analytics (i.e. ACCESS, SQL) are preferred, but not required.

Education: Bachelor's degree and Master's degree or 5 years' Health Care experience required.  Master's degree (MPA or government focused MBA) preferred.


Experience: 5+years of relevant work experience
