Duties & Responsibilities 


  • Evaluates case worker records for compliance with applicable regulations and business practices through a combination of virtual and on-site reviews
  • Collects data and documentation from worker sites to support compliance findings 
  • Utilizes technology to convert hardcopy documentation to electronic and submit via Web-based application
  • Ability to summarize on-site and web-based findings, in-person and through concise reporting to State of Michigan staff
  • Data entry and assists in determining trends in non-compliance and inadequate business processes 
  • Apply both high-level and detailed information concerning the state programs’ practices and policies to accurately review all aspects of case work
  • Coordinates with location staff to schedule onsite visits 
  • Makes appropriate and timely recommendations to project management 






  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Health, Human Services, Public Health, Social Work, or a similar field of study 
  • 2+ years' of relevant work experience in Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) or a related field such as Public Health, Home Care, or a Medical Provider
  • Relevant work experience in Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) monitoring, Medicaid, Third-Party Payer Provider Billing, or Provider Training 


Working Conditions: 


  • Travel required throughout the State of Michigan
  • Office Setting / Remote

  • Computer literacy, competency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to learn other programs
  • Ability to work well independently to meet deadlines

  • Exemplary Customer Service relationship techniques, including superior verbal and written communication skills 
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
