Responsibilities

 

  • Leads or supports strategic consulting projects for school districts and state education agencies across the country. Project work may include strategic planning, operational reviews, initiative analysis, implementation planning, etc. Projects support effective, efficient, and equitable schools.
  • Provides deep knowledge of K-12 education to inform planning and business development.
  • Provides a perspective on future business through use of existing client networks.
  • Establishes good working relationships with school districts and state education agencies.
  • Provides subject matter expertise on a range of topics relevant to applicant’s background.
  • Conceptualizes solutions for clients and influences project outcomes.
  • Serves as a project team leader, directing projects and managing client relationships.
  • Serves as a project team member, providing direct services to clients relative to area of expertise.
  • Leads development of write papers, case studies and speaking engagements.
  • Provides thought leadership in areas of expertise
  • Other tasks as to be determined by PCG management.

Qualifications

 

Requirements:

  • Passion for and demonstrated commitment to K-12 public education
  • Subject matter expertise in a public sector programs related to PreK-12 Education, which may include leadership, equity, organizational design, education research, diverse populations, and/or implementation science
  • Must be tactical in delivering project tasks under tight deadlines, while keeping the big picture in mind.
  • Able to translate complicated challenges into actionable solutions
  • Driven to create systems and continuously improve processes by applying new approaches to work
  • Strong leadership, assertive, enthusiastic and has the political savvy to get things done
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills; excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable moving forward in ambiguous situations
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • A commitment to deliver exceptional client service

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a school district, state department of education or similar educational setting required
  • Relevant graduate degree strongly preferred

Work Setting:

  • Any PCG office, Boston area preferred but not required
  • Travel to client sites required (% and location varies)
