Senior Healthcare Program Specialist - Division of Health Plan Contracting and Oversight in Albany, NY

The New York State (NYS) Department of Health (DOH) Office of Health Insurance Programs (OHIP) Division of Health Plan Contracting and Oversight (DHPCO) has management and oversight responsibility for Managed Care Organizations (MCO) in New York State. This position will be located in the Bureau of Program Implementation and Enrollment’s Systems Unit and will be responsible for:
· Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of professional experience.
· Must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States in order to be considered.
· Must have proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
· Experience with reviewing Medicaid eligibility and enrollment information, and with using the Welfare Management System (WMS), and eMedNY preferred.
· Critical thinking skills a must.
*Employees must follow established work schedules. The usual work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise specified by the supervisor, this includes a half hour unpaid lunch break. Total work hours must equal 40 hours per week.
