  • Builds relationships with key executives to generate and develop ideas; pursues opportunities and close sales.
  • Develops strategic and tactical plans to generate revenue.
  • Identifies counties to begin sales efforts of child welfare and SNAP services to support:

·           Family First Prevention Services implementation

·           Social security benefits for children in foster care management

·           SNAP error improvement

  • Identifies and influences key decision-makers at all levels of client organizations.
  • Connects the team with state level decision makers who would contract with PCG to address upcoming changes in TANF and childcare subsidy, early childhood services, and child welfare consulting services, including planning for implementation of claiming for Family First Prevention Services.
  • Supports expansion of Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) consulting across DHCS, DDS, CDA, CDSS and CDPH state agencies.
  • Supports marketing of PCG’s Part C early intervention consulting services and technology products in CA.
  • Assists account team with qualifying, pursuing, and closing opportunities.
  • Functions as a strategic thinker, using state and county knowledge to guide projects and sales efforts.
  • Works with project teams and leaders to identify opportunities to deliver PCG solutions to new state and county level clients.
  • Leverages existing work to expand footprint at the state and county levels.
  • Contributes to the successful execution, management, and exposure of existing work.
  • Leads and supports conversations regarding project risk and challenges.



  • Experience in California state and/or county government preferably human services, public health, and/or workforce development.
  • Strong, positive relationships with California government executives.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of consulting services contracts, delivery, and problem-solving strategies.
  • Experience in developing marketing plans.
  • Ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
  • Strong professional services sales management knowledge and experience.
  • Poised, exceptional executive presence and highly articulate.
  • Ability to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities, as well as to maintain and grow existing contracts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of government and internal stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.




  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA is desirable


  • 10+ years experience as a named account relationship and/or business development manager serving leading clients or related experience.

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $120,000 - 175,000 . In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role.
